Crazy Horse - Again
I love the Crazy Horse burrito from Fighting Burrito. I always ordered exactly as it's written on the menu. I wouldn't exactly call it fiery, but it does provide some heat, especially if two or more jalapeƱos end up in my mouth at the same time. I like white beans in my burritos. They go well with the beef and spicy corn salsa. What really makes this burrito special is the addition of Mad Jackson's Peach Punishment Hot Sauce. That's what was for lunch Wednesday, and it already sounds good again. Guess I'm ready for something besides Thanksgiving leftovers already! So if you like your burrito to bite back a little, try the Crazy Horse. Peace out.

Chipotle (Mexican Grill)
435 S. Duff Ames, IA
We went to Chipotle on Wednesday, February 19th during dinner time.
The line wasn't bad at all and the food looked hot and ready. Linda and I ordered burritos both chicken as she had never been there I informed her that it had a little kick to it. I got my routine Chipotle burrito I grew up with: chicken, black beans, white rice, shredded cheese, and lettuce.
Linda got the same but with veggies and tried the mild (fresh tomato salsa) sauce on hers. Now lets take a moment to review..........

Information of our Burrito Tour
Welcome to the
Ames Burrito Tour '14 Blog Page
This all started with an empty tummy and the end of a long work day before an impending blizzard the second to last week of February. Linda and I (Anasia) decided to head out in search for food fulfillment. Our soon to be misadventure led us to South 5th St in Ames. A decision was made and we settled on Chipotle. Burrito was good and Linda got the burrito fix she was looking for, while my stomach gained it's needed food fulfillment. During that time, many topics were discussed. At one point, liquid gold was mentioned. Linda questioned me, and I explained it is melted cheese that Pancheros down the road adds for an extra cost. Now, I personally grew up eating Chipotle back in Ohio, so Pancheros was something different for me to try when I came here back in 2005. We decided, depending on the effects of the blizzard we would grab one there tomorrow. The next day, the burrito tour was born.
Look for more blog posts to come soon. We are working on a rating system for the burritos and that will be added as well.
We have so far decided to try these places during our tour:
Chipotle 2/19
Pancheros 2/20
Fighting Burrito 3/21
Es Tas Bar and Grill 3/25
Taco Bell
Mr. Burrito
Cazador
Taco John's
La Fuente
El Azteca
This is a tentative order. Also, we will have shirts soon. If you would be interested in a shirt, stay tuned for the pic and then let us know. Happy Hump Day...... you're already over the hump, you can make it the rest of the way...well be sure to have a burrito at least one week day.
